All I can say about PersonalBrain 4 Pro is this: OMG it's the best piece of mindmapping/strategic planning/thought capture application in the known universe! If it were human, I'd be so enamoured with it that I'd want to lend it money at low, low interest rates!
*ahem*
Okay, I'm better now. Thank you for indulging me. I'll go back and add more Thoughts to my Brain now...
Glad you like the software! How many Thoughts do you have? Are creating Thought and link types also?
ReplyDeleteI don't like the software, I *love* it! Right now, I'm sitting at 150+ thoughts at 1.6 links each. I'm slowly going through the v3 manual and I've skimmed the transition guide. No, I haven't created Thought or Link types yet but now that you've brought them up, I'll take a look at it!
ReplyDeleteBTW, if you're ShelleyH and have more questions, let's take this offline, or I could post any relevant bits on the Y! group.
Okay, so you probably *are* ShelleyH from your link. :)
ReplyDeleteBTW, given that my OmniOutliner file had well over a thousand list items (I think it was closer to 2-3K but I can't confirm it now that it's gone kablooey), one thing that's been a very pleasant discovery is that because making links between Thoughts is so easy in PB4, I don't need to have as many list items/Thoughts anymore.
It's *really* nice to be able to just click on a Thought and see all the relationships in one go. I used to have to write AppleScript flattening scripts just to sort through the relationships between list items. :(
Brains are good, um.
ReplyDeleteJust re-read your profile; any chance you could post a photo of the "klingon" cheese knife? I'm intrigued.
Yes I am Shelley H...If you haven't started on your Thought Types yet we are having a Web Seminar next Thurs Sept 27 on Thought Typing...
